Community Agreements

The Funders Network (TFN) is committed to implementing appropriate policies and taking necessary actions to create a safe and comfortable meeting environment, and to the extent possible, protect the health of everyone who attends or participates in our TFN27 Conference: Mission Possible in Oakland, CA, including pre- and post-conference activities sponsored or organized by TFN.

I knowingly and voluntarily accept and agree to comply with TFN’s Health and Safety Protocols. I hereby assume all of the risks of participating in this event, and waive, release and discharge TFN and its directors, board members, officers, and employees from any and all liability. I agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and promise not to sue the entities or persons mentioned above from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity or event.

Our TFN27 Conference is an opportunity for funders to learn, collaborate, and grow amid conversations focused on racial, economic, and environmental equity and justice. We would also like to ensure that TFN’s conference remains a relaxed, considerate and caring space for the philanthropic community to gather with their colleagues, government and non-profit partners. As such:

TFN does not allow language that harasses, threatens or defames others, or language that is derogatory toward people or communities based on, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion or ability status.

TFN asks attendees to refrain from using the Conference, CVENT app, or related networking activities as a venue for fundraising pitches or any other solicitations for financial support.

Electioneering or lobbying activities are prohibited.

I agree to the TFN Code of Conduct, as described above.

To foster a network, communication, and the ability to create a personalized Conference agenda, TFN will share attendees' name, title, employer, and work email address with CVENT. Other attendees will be able to access your data via the CVENT conference application. We are unable to offer an opt-out option, though you are welcome to customize your profile on the app.

I understand that my basic contact information will be accessible to other attendees via the CVENT platform, and I agree to keep contact information for other participants private and secure.

Critical information will be sent via email from The Funders Network and CVENT.

I agree to receive emails (at the preferred email address indicated above) from The Funders Network, as well as the conference application, CVENT. I understand that unsubscribing from emails from The Funders Network and/or CVENT may impact my ability to access conference information.

A photographer will be capturing audio and images throughout the Event.

I grant TFN the non-exclusive, irrevocable, and perpetual right and license to photograph, film, record, and otherwise capture my voice, image, and likeness while attending the TFN 2027 Conference: Mission Possible. I further grant the right to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, display, and modify such recordings for any lawful purpose, in any medium now known or later developed. I agree to hold TFN and TFN event organizers harmless from any and all liability related to such use, including claims for invasion of privacy, violation of publicity rights, or any other related claims.
